How to Write Accomplishments on Your Resume
How to Write Accomplishments on Your Resume An accomplishment section is a great addition to your resume. It can help demonstrate your skills in action and show the potential employer that you can add value to the organization beyond just performing your duties. But we all know that bragging about our accomplishment isnât always easy. Not to mention being sure what even counts as an accomplishment! Sure, youâve gone to work each day but thatâs not really an accomplishment, is it?In this guide, weâll go through what constitutes as an accomplishment and how to write the section in style. You can find plenty of tips and concrete examples to help you create a winning resume. WHATâS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT?Before we start looking at how to write the section, itâs important to understand what accomplishments mean. You want to ensure the section is about your accomplishments and not just a list of other things. The most common confusion amongst job applicants is to treat accomplishments as duties or strengths.Accomplishments are specific actions youâve taken and which have resulted in a beneficial outcome. The outcome must be something better than what was expected of you â" it must provide positive benefits to either you or the organization you were working for.Itâs not about the things you were meant to do. Itâs not an accomplishment to manage a clientele of 100 people â" this is a duty; something that was part of your job description in the first place. An accomplishment would be something like âI helped grow the client-base from 100 to 150 in six monthsâ. This wouldnât just be doing your job but going above and beyond your usual duties.Furth ermore, your accomplishment shouldnât be a list of your strengths either. You donât need to list your characteristics here or mention you are good at languages â" youâd rather want to outline an achievement that provided benefits.BEFORE YOU START WRITING ACCOMPLISHMENTSNow that you know what constitutes as accomplishments, you can start preparing to write them. You should take the following three steps to get started.Brainstorm and list your accomplishmentsTake a piece of paper or open a Word-document and start brainstorming. You can just write all the accomplishments you can think of from your career and academic life. If you want, you can even mention any major accomplishment from things youâve done outside of your academic or work career â" for example, any accomplishments from your voluntary work.Donât edit or think too much at this stage. Just let your mind flow and look back to the things youâve achieved in the past. To make the brainstorming session easier, you should ask yourself the following questions:Have I received praise or recognition from colleagues or bosses? What were the specific tasks I was applauded for?Have I received a promotion, and award or commendations from clients?Have I been selected to be part of special projects or committees?Am I known for something specific in the workplace or team? What are the accomplishments I feel the most proud?Include anything that comes to mind at this point â" the time for editing and refining is later. If youâre finding it hard to come up with any accomplishments on your own, you can always ask your colleagues or friends to help.Understand and list the qualities the job is looking forNext, you want to take another piece of paper and analyze the job posting. You want to carefully read it through and list all the things the employer is looking for in the perfect candidate. List those skills and characteristics.Think about the items youâve listed in terms of the achievements that would sh owcase them. What kinds of achievements would help you in the role? For example, if the employer is looking for an experienced IT person, think how your accomplishment could show this? Perhaps youâve received a special award for your IT skills or youâre known as the âunofficial IT guyâ at the office.Pick the achievements the employer is looking forNow itâs time to combine the two. You need to examine your listed accomplishments in the light of what the employer is looking for. Remember your resume has to be relevant to the job you are applying for and you donât want to waste the hiring managers time by including information that doesnât interest them. Therefore, you shouldnât list accomplishments, which arenât relevant for the role. You want to go through the lists and pick out the accomplishment that best fit the job description. Those achievements that highlight your ability to perform in the role and help the organization move forward.WRITING ACCOMPLISHMENTS ON Y OUR RESUMEYou now have a list of accomplishments that are relevant to the role. Itâs now time to start refining and editing your accomplishments. You need to focus on resultsRemember how at the start we talked about the difference between an accomplishment and a duty. You are not here to tell what youâve done, as much as you are to tell what happened as a result. The key to accomplishment is in the outcome â" the recognition of your actions. Therefore, your focus should be on the results. Your accomplishment section should show how youâve been able to do something outside of what was expected of you. You want to focus on the benefits you brought to the employer or for your own professional career. For example, your accomplishment section should state things like âIâm a hard working employee, who stays overtime to get the job done.â Thatâs not an accomplishment. But if you say, âI often stay overtime to finish my projects, which has resulted in praise from my colleagues and boss,â you are presenting an accomplishment. You are doing something that has caused people around you to recognize it positively â" in this case, you doing overtime helps the team finish projects. You should quantify your achievementsAnother important thing is to focus on quantifying those results. You want to use figures because they add more context to your accomplishments. Look at the examples below and think which one sounds more impressive:âIâve been recognized by my colleagues as a great customer service person.ââIâve been awarded the customer service person of the month award for three months in a row by my employers.âYou probably agree the latter example is much more powerful. It illustrates the accomplishment clearer â" not only do you mention thereâs an actual award for it (i.e. a competition youâve won), but you also highlight youâve not just done it twice but THREE times. When you are looking at your chosen achievements, ask yourself:Have I rece ived an award or a concrete promotion due to my actions? For example, the Employee of the Month award. Can I illustrate those achievements with figures, such as percentages or monetary amounts? For instance, improving sales by 10%.Have I done things ahead of time and received praise for it? For example, finishing a project three weeks in advance.Of course, you wonât always be able to quantify everything you have done. You shouldnât pluck numbers from thin air here. If the accomplishment is appropriate and relevant in all other ways, then you should include it on your list without forcing a figure into it.Use action and power wordsAs you are refining your accomplishments and writing them on your resume, you need to pay attention to the language you use. The average hiring manager spends around six to ten seconds looking at your resume and itâs important to catch their attention. The best way to do it is by including colorful language. You want to include actionable and powerful words. You can find a list of great action verbs from the Resume Genius blog post âThe Longest Action Verb List in the Universeâ. It includes great verbs such as:ManagedImplementedDevelopedOrganisedCommunicatedInitiatedAdaptedYou definitely want to place your action verb right at the start of the sentence. Instead of saying, âMy colleagues awarded me with an awardâ, you should be saying, âReceived an Employee of the Month awardâ.So, what about power words? Those are words The Balance describes as words that âwill jump off your page, quickly showing the hiring manager that you have the skills and other qualifications for the jobâ. Now, there are different types of power words and the action verbs mentioned above are just one example. Others include words like:Words describing the company values.Words that showcase popular transferable and soft skills.Words that are used in the job description, i.e. the keyword.Words that are popular in the industry. As you can see, powe r words are easily identifiable when you research the company during the brainstorming session.Follow the PAR methodA great way of writing the accomplishment section can be to include achievements that follow the PAR method. PAR stands for:PROBLEM ACTION RESULTSo, you would take a problem, and then show the actions you took to resolve it and highlight the beneficial results. For instance, you might have been faced with a declining client-base at your previous work as a barista. You implemented a new voucher mechanism, which helped boost your clientele by 20%.The PAR method can be used in all sorts of ways. Please note the problem doesnât have to be something you actively noticed or went on to tackle at the time. It can just be used to add context to your accomplishment and provide insight into your skills. Presenting your accomplishment in this manner doesnât just talk about those achievements but also your problem solving skills â" you include a hidden message for the hiring managers, who are always reading between the lines, too!You also donât always have to use the PAR method in that order. You could also build the sentence by noting the action first before presenting the problem and the result. You can also just show the result first and then show the action and problem. The Problem The Action The ResultIdentified the companyâs inefficiency in accounting software and developed a new system, which helped save $3,000 annually.Develop new accounting software to tackle companyâs inefficiencies, resulting in $3,000 annual savings.Helped the company save $3,000 annually by developing accounting software to tackle inefficiencies.EXAMPLES OF GOOD ACCOMPLISHMENTS SECTIONSWith the above information in mind, you might be eager to see concrete examples of good accomplishment sections. Here are a few sentences you should consider when writing your resume:âManaged budget of X number of dollars.ââPromoted X number of times in Y number of years.ââG rew site traffic by X amount over Y period of time.ââPlaced stories in X number of publications.ââIncreased customer satisfaction rating by X percent.ââOrganized quarterly volunteer projects with upwards of 50 volunteers per event.ââReduced time spent on inventory by 20% by reorganizing physical storage of supplies.âSource: Jobscan.co blog posts from here, here and hereEach of the above example starts with an actionable word and includes a quantified example of a result. They are crisp and on point.Monster.com has also three great examples that show how to move your accomplishment from the initial rough idea into a polished answer. The examples include this one for a teaching job:Notes:When I first started, students were passing state exams at the dismal rate of 67%. I updated the curriculum and instilled the students with a love of history. By yearâs end, my students had achieved a 93% pass rate. The polished statement:Dramatically increased pass rate of eight-gr ade students from 67% to a record-high of 93% on state proficiency testing. You can see how the refining has worked. There has been an identification of the key figures and the use of the PAR method. In the above example, the method is used by first stating the action, then the problem and finally, the result. Furthermore, the single bullet point starts with a power word and an actionable word.As mentioned, you might not always have figures to present. The Monster.com post also has a good example of an accomplishment statement for these circumstances. This example is for the position of an administrative assistant.Notes:On my first day on the job, I couldnât find anything because the filing system was a mess. Customers were unhappy because wait times were long as we located files. I reorganised the filing system, which now works beautifully. The polished statement:Improved office efficiency and customer service by overhauling previously haphazard filing system.ADDITIONAL TIPS TO KEE P IN MINDYou should keep a few other things in mind when compiling the list of achievements. Itâs important to remember the importance of keywords when writing your resume. Modern resumes are often digital and they get scanned by a system called applicant tracking system (ATS).The technology uses keywords outlined by the employer to pick the resumes and applications who best match the employerâs criteria. Therefore, you need to ensure you select words and use language that would match those keywords and boost your chances of moving forward in the hiring funnel. How do you know what are the right keywords to use? You need to analyze the job description well. Itâs a good idea to match the wording on the job description and use similar terms and language the employer is using â" without forgetting to sound natural and only include skills and qualifications you have. You might also want to check out similar job postings to get an idea on the language the industry uses. You can fin d more tips on the below YouTube video: Hereâs a quick example to help you with keywords and writing the accomplishment. Letâs say the companyâs job posting is states the following things:You would be responsible for making marketing brochures. You would be responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility campaigns. You can include the keywords âmarketing brochuresâ and âCorporate Social Responsibility campaignsâ (CSR campaigns) by tying them to your accomplishments. For example, you might be able to write bullet points like these:Launched CSR campaign, increasing participation in an annual charity event by 30%.Created innovative marketing brochures to drive up sales by 20%. Itâs also important to avoid repetition. You donât want your accomplishment section and your skills section sound the same, for example. When you are writing the specific sections, you want to avoid mentioning the same skills and characteristics â" each part should offer something unique for the hiring manager to learn about you.So, make sure you donât just look at your achievement section in isolation from the rest of the resume. Ensure you donât list and talk about things you already have in the other parts and vice versa. In terms of formatting your accomplishment section, you should stick to bullet points. These are quicker and easier to read than paragraphs. If you are wondering how to format your resume, you should read this blog post.FINAL THOUGHTSWriting accomplishments on your resume might seem tricky. Weâre often told not to brag and now you are suddenly thrown into a situation where you need to boast. Itâs important to learn to keep track of your accomplishments as you go through life and to learn to give credit when credit is due.Like with any section in the resume, remember to keep it relevant to the job youâre applying for. Make it concrete by including figures and by outlining the situation with the PAR method â" focus your accomplishments on the re sults. With the above tips, you can write powerful bullet points that engage the hiring manager, impressing them with your skills and abilities.

Summer Vacation Is Too Beneficial For The Institution Of...
Across the United States, summer vacation is a tradition cherished by students and families alike. I myself find that the last few months of school end up turning into a countdown to carefree days. Though cherished, summer vacation can have detrimental effects. Students end up losing some retained knowledge of math and reading during the respite. This evidence has led the country in a debate of whether the summer tradition should still exist. While some believe the learning detriments should lead to the institution of year-round school programs, I believe that summer vacation is far too beneficial with its potential to foster an environment in which oneââ¬â¢s identity and creativity can develop. Yes, summer vacation does, in fact, contribute to a loss of learning in core subjects such as math and reading. As Jeff Smink stated in ââ¬Å"This Is Your Brain on Summerâ⬠, ââ¬Å"Decades of research confirm that â⬠¦ the average summer learning loss in math and reading for American students amounts to one month per yearâ⬠. This loss is a compelling force behind the year-round program argument, leading some to believe that the ââ¬Å"â⬠¦ traditional 180-day school calendar creates an incredibly inefficient system of learningâ⬠(Smink). However, those in favor of year-round programs appear to disregard any benefits of a long break from school. They tend to view summer vacation as only ââ¬Å"â⬠¦ a time of relaxation and funâ⬠(Smink), negatively associating such a statement with laziness and lack of achievement; thatShow MoreRelated Education at a Year-Round School Essay3139 Words à |à 13 PagesEducation at a Year-Round School Consider the following situation: A car is driving past the local elementary school on a hot and sunny July afternoon. Our writers will create an original "AN ANALYTICAL REPORT ON RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION" essay for you Create order Edwin, B. Flippo. 1980. The Personal Management. The action or process of exploring the applicants for employment and activating them to assign for jobs in the organisation is called Recruitment. Recruitment and selection designates the consecution and arrangement of activities affecting to recruitment and selection of employable applicants and job holders for an organization The main aim of recruiting and selection is to get qualified employees who are suitable into the culture of the organization. According to Erich and Leonard 2009 in his recent study it was found that an appropriate Job analysis is the base of all other human resources functions. If we dont properly understand the nature, attributes of the job, we cannot hire the proper candidates for that specific job. While recruiting candidates an organization should keep in mind about the worthiness and quality of that specific position of the job holder. They should be trained after recruitment; organizatio n should provide guidelines, arrange some development programs for the better criteria. It should begin with a proper job analysis. (Erich and Leonard 2009) JOB ANALYSIS A recent study (Hartley 1999) found that an organised and efficient process for gathering, collecting and examining the information about jobs is Job analysis. The collection of information about the duties, responsibilities, necessary skills, outcomes, and work environment of a specific job can also be called Job analysis. It accommodates the basis for a job description, which access decisions on recruitment, training, streamlined efficient and rewards systems. There is no point for hiring people unless we know what we are hiring them for. The main aim of recruiting job analysis is to adapt job description and job specification which helps to hire good quality of work force into the organization. The management of a business need to conclude what sort of work need to be done. Job analysis is a key part of this need. COMPRISES OF JOB ANALYSIS Job analysis would commonly contain: Nature What is the job and how should it recounts to the business? Purpose Engagement and Commitment in the organization. Duties and Accountabilities Achievements and Outcomes that the Job holder capable for. Performance criteria Measurement of Job holders Performance. Resource requirements Like Equipment, Location or Entrepreneur. While recruiting; organisation should mention the above criteria for the Job holders so that the candidates should consider the aim, purpose, liabilities, responsibilities, duties thoroughly and deeply. Example: In AIRLINES the air hostess job is to look after and provide good quality of services towards their passengers. The criteria of this organisation are not high enough. Those candidates are given first priority whose communication is good, who are soft spoken, look smart and descend, have good behaviour and etc, because it is all about customer care services. If the air hostess looks good and if she/he speaks gently, the p assenger will automatically be persuaded and that is how the good reputation of the company or organisation can be made and more possible good outcomes could be achieved. As it is said that: First impression is the last impression. While recruiting; an air line also looks that the candidates should not be short tempered. These are the basic demands for hiring candidates in an air line. If the candidates are able to meet these standards; they will be appointed. We can take another good example about army recruitment and selection. The Gurkha recruiting process is one of the toughest of any Army in the world. Their soldiers are selected from amongst many thousands of hopeful applicants.Ãâà Gurkha soldiers tour around the remote villages of Nepal conducting the initial screening tests. Every applicant must meet the certain standards of education, fitness and health. If successful, they will be called to attend the next step. Retired Gurkha Officers hold a number of selection days across the country. Every recruit has to give his best and has to take the maths exam in order to qualify for the next level. The criteria are quite high enough, and no weaknesses are accepted. All who make it throug h this stage are good enough to be soldiers in the British Army, but very few are able to make it. Central selection is that process where those applicants are selected who has passed previous stages. This is the last and final hurdle for the candidates. In Bokhara, Western Nepal the candidates have to report recruiting depot and spend 2 weeks being put through their paces. Doko race is the most hardest and gruelling assessment. Candidates has to complete a 2 mile race up a near vertical hill carrying 35kg of rocks in a basket, the weight borne by the traditional Nepalese carrying strap across the forehead, due to which their stamina and potential can be checked out and it should be completed within 20 mints. All the candidates should have passed the Nepalese School Leaving Certificate, equivalent to between GCSE and A-Level standard in the UK.Ãâà If successful, the will be taken to Catterick in North Yorkshire to undergo training in the Gurkha Wing of the Infantry Tra ining Centre. In his 8 months training, the new soldier will not only learn military skills, but will also pass English language exams.Ãâ After passing all these training, he can feel proud what he has achieved, but he will have to work harder and harder to live for his reputation that his forefathers have built. (Gurkha soldiers recruitment) ESTABLISHING GOOD AND EFFECTIVE HIRING POLICY: According to Kumar and Sharma (2000) in their research, an employers recruitment and selection practices look to ensure and most capable for job holders. Job analysis information helps job holders to achieve those aims and goals by ensuring selection criteria, such as the knowledge, skills, accountabilities and capabilities needed to perform a job successfully. Policies should be flexible in order to make good and efficient hiring practice. Job title, duties, responsibilities tasks are very essential contents. Targets and performances standard that the job holder is required to accompli sh for the benefits of an organization. An organizational managers and human resource (HR) can use these information to choose or to develop adapt selection devices for instance interview, questions and tests. This approach to selection legally required. Job Description: Kleynhans, Ronel. 2006. Human Resource Management. Job description can be used to create some advertisements to recruit new employees and should give them some extra information about the job. The recruiter has to know the qualifications, skills or knowledge that the candidates need to perform that specific job. Both the job description and job specification are depended on job analysis. Without good quality job analysis the description of job favourable circumstances will be ambiguous than absolute, general rather than specific, broad rather than detailed. A Historical Overview of Christianity Free Essays
Christianity is not one faith in its practice, but a diverse array of faiths that have evolved over two thousand years. What these faiths share in common is the central figure of Jesus Christ. In his day, Jesus was a polarizing figure. We will write a custom essay sample on A Historical Overview of Christianity or any similar topic only for you Order Now He was born and raised in the Jewish tradition, but was shunned by many when he proclaimed himself to be the long awaited messiah. How could a messiah come from such humble roots? He was not the image of the messiah most people at the time expected. For the Romans, Jesus posed a threat to their rule. Jesus never set out to upend the Roman state, but his growing popularity was seen as a threat none the less. Eventually he was arrested on trumped-up charges and brutally crucified. In the decades following his death his small group of apostles began constructing what we now know as the New Testament. They related the events of his life including the miracles he performed, his crucifixion and his resurrection. These writings were combined with the much older Jewish Torah and Talmud to form the Christian Bible of today. The Apostles also formed the early Christian church as a separate entity from traditional Judaism. In its remarkable history that church would suffer centuries of persecution then would rise to the heights of political and social power. It also would endure many splits. The largest single denomination within the Christian church is Catholicism. The Protestant Reformation of the middle ages would eventually spawn hundreds of new denominations. The history, theoretical perspectives and rites of each of these denominations differs from the others. All are ultimately focused on Jesus Christ as the savior through which man can be given eternal life in heaven. â⬠¢ Subtopic 1: theoretical perspectives and development of the theology Traditional Christian theology views God as a three-faceted entity. God the Father, God the son (Jesus) and God as the Holy Spirit comprise what is known as the godhead. In 675 A.D., The Council of Trent concluded that ââ¬Å"Although we profess three persons we do not profess three substances but one substance and three persons (Stanford University, 2008). Judaism, by contrast, does not recognize Jesus as God. Although many first century Jews viewed Jesus as a heretic or even a false prophet, most now accept that he was a prophet but not that he was the messiah. Christianity is heavily influenced by Judaism. The books of the Torah form Christian conceptions of the beginning of the world, the sinfulness of man and the promise of a coming messiah. Jesus himself preached in the Jewish synagogues and often cited Old Testament prophecy. St. Augustine of Hippo, argued that philosophical reflection complemented theology, but only when these philosophical reflections were firmly grounded in a prior intellectual commitment to the underlying truth of the Christian faith. (Stanford University, 2008) The Jews of the first century doubted that Jesus could be the messiah that had been promised in the book of Isaiah. He was a carpenter from humble origins. His parents were unmarried at the time Mary began pregnant with Jesus. The family faced ostracization as a result. Joseph, the babyââ¬â¢s earthly father, had considered sending his wife away before the baby was born. Since he and Mary had not yet had sex, Joseph suspected that the pregnancy was the result of an affair. According to the Christian bible, Joseph was convinced not to send her away by a vision from God and consultation with Jewish elders. The baby was to be the messiah born of a virgin. If the Jewish community doubted the humble beginnings of the young messiah, some of his early teachings raised even more concern. While Jesus recognized that the Jewish people were the chosen people of the Old Testament the messiah was not to be reserved to them. Jesus came to atone for the sins of all people. Those of any culture who accepted him in faith could receive this atonement. Judaism had already existed for centuries by that time. During this span of time theologians had created hundreds of specific rules regarding worship and everyday life. For many Jews piety was judged in concordance with obeying of these rules. Jesus challenged this assumption. By working on the Sabbath and performing other acts that broke the rules, Jesus sent a clear message that true faith was about much more than obeying the rules. He told the elders that they could not ââ¬Å"earn their wayâ⬠in to heaven. In doing so he challenged the well-established social order. As Jesus had faced skepticism and outright hostility, so too would the early Christian Church. Theologians such as St. Paul would face resistance from all sides. The Jews, particularly the elite classes, strongly disagreed with the proposition that Jesus was the messiah. The ruling Romans saw a threat that could erode their empire from within. There was also dissent within the early church as it struggled to find its theological underpinnings. à How to cite A Historical Overview of Christianity, Papers

The Effects of Reconstruction Essay Example For Students
The Effects of Reconstruction Essay The affects of the Civil War, and the actions that led to the war were very detrimental to the United States. The nation was not in good shape, and was all divided up. President Abraham Lincoln saw this division, and wanted to reconstruct the nation, by restoring national unity. Reconstruction did not only restore national unity, but more importantly it helped the blacks gain the personal rights that they deserved. These two reasons show why Reconstruction was successful. President Lincoln wanted to heal the wounds of the nation. He wanted to look past the war, and ahead to peace. President Lincoln spoke of this in his second inaugural address. His main purpose of Reconstruction was restoring national unity. President Lincoln wanted to do this by getting the states to come together. To be able to do this, Lincoln proposed the 10% Plan. This plan stated that once 10% of the registered voters in a state had renounced succession, then they could rewrite a state constitution, and submit it for reentrance into the Union. Lincoln said, if they come back now, the Union would respect all property, except slaves. Soon after Lincoln had proposed these ideas, John Wilkes Booth assassinated him. When this occurred Andrew Johnson took over as president. Very soon after he was sworn in, Johnson announced his plan of reconstruction, which was very similar to Lincolns. Andrew Johnson with the help of Congress drew up the Reconstruction Acts of 1867. These acts were very similar to Lincolns plan in that they required the states to draw up new constitutions before they could be readmitted to the Union. Through these acts, education soared. Every state started a system of public education, and began building schools. Each state also trained teachers to fill the open spots in the schools. Through education, the nation gradually came to unity, and President Abraham Lincolns dream came true. Reconstruction was successful in restoring the nations unity. Reconstruction not only restored the nations unity, but it helped the slaves to gain personal rights. During this time, a freedmans life changed dramatically. One thing that changed was the blacks social lives. Since blacks were now free, they were able to do as they please. Now blacks were able to travel, and find friends and family, that they had lost during slave trading. Now they could own property, and to sue, and be sued in court. Blacks could also legally participate in a religion, which they couldnt do during slavery. They could now establish their own churches. This was important because these churches promoted black education, and helped freedmen who could not provide for themselves. Black churches were very helpful to the black community. Basically blacks gained more control over their personal lives, which they didnt have during slavery. During this time of Reconstruction, blacks lives also changed economically. Blacks were no longer slaves, they were no longer under the whip. Most of them worked for very little wage, but anything was better than being a slave. Some blacks worked at sharecropping. This is where they farmed someones land and got half the earnings. The other half went to the landowner, which were usually wealth white men. Sharecropping allowed blacks to make their own decisions, they could decide who would work, for how long would they work, and how hard they would work. It just simply gave blacks the right to what they wanted to do. Blacks lives changed politically during Reconstruction. While blacks were slaves they never had the chance to get an education, they were always out in the fields. Because of this most of them were illiterate. But they were smart enough to realize that without the right to vote, they had no say so in the government. They protested, and in 1868, they were giving the right to vote. .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 , .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .postImageUrl , .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 , .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:hover , .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:visited , .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:active { border:0!important; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:active , .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917 .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u447f8f37720f7ebca9e0593ec64e3917:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Violence6 Essay Very soon after almost every eligible black man had registered to vote. Importance of Oil free essay sample
The importance of oil to the modern world is unique in character and incredibly far-reaching in scope. It is a singularly autonomous variable in the world economy, just as, if not more potent and influential than Federal Reserve decisions, the Euro-Dollar exchange rate, conditions in the U. S or stock market indexes. Oil availability and price affect the output capacity, rate of growth and level of inflation throughout the world. In the modern world, oil affects transportation, heating, production and the military. One would be hard pressed to find a substance or phenomena in world history that has held a comparable position. Petroleum is a nonrenewable fossil fuel. It is the product of a multi-million year geological process in which organic material is transformed in underground reservoirs. The fact that we can not produce petroleum is an underlying factor that defines the nature of the oil industry. Summary of the Proposal Essays
Summary of the Proposal Essays Summary of the Proposal Essay Summary of the Proposal Essay Name: Instructor: Course: Date: Summary of the Proposal 1. Executive Summary This report was prepared to study the macro and microenvironments of juice production in Norway and Brazil. There is less competition in Norway compared to Brazil due to the established company, the Boost Juice Bar. In order to improve sales in Norway, advertisements will be used during the Fifa World Cup that will take place in Brazil. Founded by Janine and Jeff Allis Australia in 2000, Boost Juice Bars is one of the most recognized business chains inside Australia with over 200 branches. Starting with $250,000 and the help of nutritionists, Janine formulated healthy juice products and still researches on various ways to better her product. Examples of products the company produces using its developed technology include skinny smoothies, fresh juices, low fat smoothies, bottled juices and light smoothies. The target market for the company is anyone who is health conscious. 2. Company Objectives and Strategy To achieve a high number of sales while growing its opportunities To promote its brand all over the world To gain a large proportion of the market share To achieve the above using Porterââ¬â¢s formula for competitive advantage 3. Political, cultural, economic, social and technological environments in Norway Norway is located in northern Europe and is bordered by Russia, Sweden and Finland. Its capital city is Oslo, and it has a monarchical government. It is one of the richest countries in northern Europe with vast technological developments. Religion is not a significant influence in the Norwegian society and women are equally represented as men. Norway also has a very rich culture and is a significant tourist destination. 4. Political, Cultural, Economic, Social and Technological Environments in Brazil Brazil is more and more being recognized for its advancements in technology that have been achieved through multiple research initiatives funded by the government. However, the countryââ¬â¢s government has failed in housing its citizens, and though poverty rates have been reducing over the years, it is still a major problem. Despite the cultural diversity that makes the Brazilian society, class division is determined by economic ability and the color of oneââ¬â¢s skin. 5. Comparing Australia to Brazil and Norway Australia has a political system similar to that of Norway and Brazil; though Brazilââ¬â¢s political system is slightly different because of instances of corruption. On the economic field, Brazil is gaining faster though both Australia and Norway are ahead of it. Technologically, both Norway and Australia are ahead of Brazil. Culturally, all the three countries are diverse. This means that the marketing techniques used by Booster Juice Company require an adjustment to suit in the different countriesââ¬â¢ societies. This process involves a shift in product design, pricing, advertisement and transportation. 6. Product Market Analysis for Brazil and Norway Sales of health-associated products have been successful in Norway since Norwegians are health conscious people. Juice products sell well in Norway and are a vital competitor for other goods sold in the country. In Brazil, there is a growing awareness on the importance of healthy food products compared to junk food. The Norwegian market is in the final stages of growth because of the many sales made in the beginning stages. Both Norway and Brazil have distribution mechanisms including airports, supermarkets, seaports and store bars. Competitively, Booster juice is at a better position because of its product variety. Boost Juice should keep producing an alternative to junk foods and concentrate on various advertisement techniques in the forthcoming Fifa World Cup. Marketing objectives for Norway and Brazil are different due to the dissimilarities in societal structure.
